Safe and warm. I have some pix to share once I 'phone' all of them in from my...

I had a great time. Unpretensous and low key with friends, living the dream.
Now, Lava Beds was nice during the day but I had 35 degrees Mon morn and 31 Tues morn. Deployed the tent the second night and had all packed up save the sleeping gear. Heated already made coffee, tossed the gear in the LC and left by 7:30. Sunny and 31.
Finding the lost hatchet back at the claim was a stroke of luck. Wasn't in the camp area as I'd left it on the rim of the wheeling ditch during clean up. Walked right off with out it.
Boy, 97 to Dorris and over to Lava Beds sure is an easy route. Still have to come over 299 but from there it's a breeze.
Can't wait for the next claim run.
p.s. Josh, sorry mate. I'll remember next time.

I don't know where the mining claim is, but I spent some awesome time with a couple of friends in that neck of the woods Friday.

Living on the coast here with the mild climate, we don't get to see much in the way of fall colors. This is my favorite time of year to head inland.
