Oct 1st Club run with FJ Trail Team/EBI run

I need to set up a run for the FJ Trail Team when they come to town at the end of September
Does anyone have anything against me combining the my business run/FJ Trail Team run with the club run?

It will be good for getting new club members as well as a good business move for me. Plus, it will give Drew someone to compare notes with.

my plans are not concrete yet but are looking good

Mt. Cheam in Chilliwack on October 1. About 5 members were interested and we proposed meeting at Ricky’s Restaurant on Vedder Road in Chilliwack for breakfast, possibly around 9:00 a.m. that day.

I will be coming aswell hopefully, mt cheam can be pretty tricky from what i understand, if you go up the back via chilliwack lake road, my buddy rolled his 75fj40 up there in the snow. he will likely be coming with us when we go too

I'm willing to go anywhere. As long as it's fun and everyone can enjoy themselves. Maybe a trail that has something for everyone, the stock trucks take the easy way and the not-so-stock take the fun way and we meet at the end. I have not had a chance to figure out too many trails around here but I am sure someone those of a couple good ones.

CB channel 4.
VHF: 147.5500 MHz or backup frequency 146.4000 MHz.
Chilliwack Ambulance 142.2450 MHz or 149.6800 MHz.
Chilliwack Towing 163.7700 MHz.
Chilliwack RCMP Repeater 140.6400 MHz
Chilliwack Emergency 149.4950 MHz
If you don't have CB or VHF, bring walkie-talkies.

I invited a couple of friends on this run, on average they have crappy work hours and can't do multi-day trips so I suggested they would join in on a 1 day thing. 1 of them has a Dodge Ram (hope you don't mind). the other will be running shot gun - if they have the time to come. Maybe we can convert them to buy Landcruisers

I vote for a run with both possibilities also as I'd enjoy going along, but I wanna bring the 80 as the 40 is a bit of a pain to get out of storage.

Looks like a good turnout for this run. The views are spectacular, both to the South border peaks and to the North of Chilliwack and Harrison Lake. Lots of deciduous trees changing colour too.
Some challenge up the gravel pit slopes on Chipmonk Creek FSR, and also on optional Widowmaker Hill up near the top on the South side.

Apparently Ricky's Restaurant is not actually on Vedder Road. What you do is exit the freeway and head south on Vedder. At the first traffic light turn right. Follow along past the Mall and when you get to an "S" in the road, Ricky's is on your right, near the paint store.
Its a good idea to gas up BEFORE you go to Ricky's so that we can get out of there after breakfast and not have to waste a lot of time lining up at 10:00 for gas at Husky. I'm going to fuel up in Abbotsford, on the way out from Vancouver at 8:30.
Bring your cameras, and a lunch. Weather forecast is good.

well it aint that bad really...13 mpg is what I calculated earlier. But yah..it does run a tad on the rich side.

13? I wish I could even remember getting 13mpg. Wow, yours is good. I figure I'm at about 10.

All goes well, I'm in. I'll try to stay away from the FJs, so not to wierd them out or anything.
