The and I are going to Manteo, NC for the weekend with the Land Cruiser. Any and all ideas for beach driving are welcome. My initial thought is Cape Hatteras because it's easy.

Oregon Inlet is waaaay closer to Manteo. Just take 12 south about 8-10 miles and the entrance is directly across the road from the marina. Also if you have the time drive up to Corova for the day. You can run the sand to the Va line. I'm headin up on the 24th for the week, and we are staying up there.

Corolla/Corova are the only free places to wheel down there. Everything else is pretty spendy if I recall.
