I changed my front O2 sensor yesterday on my 97, and then disconnected the battery to reset the CEL. When I drove the car it drove a bit sluggish and then the CEL came back on. The code came up 0125 which in generic terms is "coolant temp to low to close fuel loop" What is this??? I drove it around and it ran like crap with erratic idle and slow off the start. I've started it about 5 times so far to see if the setting reset, but still no luck.

I had that code when my O2 sensor just popped out. I had a 0125 and a 0135 (faulty O2 sensor). When I reinstalled my O2 sensor with the gasket and new nuts ( :) ) I reset the code and they both went away.

I'm not sure if you know, but every time you reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery all of the learned information is gone. The ECU can adjust to your driving conditions, weather, pressure, temp, etc. When you reset it has to relearn all of this information.

My best suggestion is to reset the code only and not the ECU. How did you get the code? Most code readers have a reset for the MIL.
