Jeez! I've got to start off by saying that it's a pain in the
to try and buy a car when you live in Juneau, AK. The biggest trouble is finding a decent vehicle, then being able to move fast enough to close the deal, THEN arrange for shipping the car to Alaska.
Well, it took a few months and several "missed" opportunities, but I finally closed "the deal".
Below are some picture of my "new to me" 1997 Lexus LX 450. The big down is it's not locked, but that's nothing an ARB kit can't fix
I wasn't such a big stickler for the lockers since this vehicle has an amazing maintenance record, and the dealer I found it at fixed every concern I had, including new brakes, front bearings and front axle seals.
I plan on doing a build in the spring/summer, but only after I get a good set of baseline numbers on her.
Anyway, thanks to everyone for all your help, support and great posts. I spent so much time reading over the past 6 months that I didn't need to ask very many annoying questions that have been asked before 100 times.
Have a good weekend.
