I know, I know.....and yes I did search! :)

Recently picked up a set of RW's for the 100. Looking at the KO2's or Nitto Ridge Grappler in 285/75/17. I see a lot of info on the 285/70 but would like the additional height.

Rig is OME lifted (heavy), T-bars, etc., stock UPC's.

Thoughts? Issues with rubbing?

Thanks!!

@gearguywb

There is a 100 running 17" FN 5 star wheels with a +30 offset and 305/70r17 Nitto ridges and it looks awesome!

Basically same as the 285/75 but wider.

I'm assuming you plan on running wheels spacers so what you decide on width will dictate potential rubbing as well. I.e.:
Slee 1.25 or BORA 1" ???

I've also have RW wheels, and want to run a ST maxx in that size so I'm curious as well. I was only planning on running a 1" spacer and I just ordered some OME T-bars and 2860 springs for my 99. I don't want to replace my upper control arms unless I absolutely have to, too many bad experiences with them. I still have yet to decide on what shocks I want.

I think they will fit, I know they will on Hutchinson rock monsters which have a 5.8" backspacing and the stock RW wheels are @ 6.4". Add at least another 1" for hub clearance and you shouldn't have and issue on UCA. At that point it you might have to worry about hitting the fender under compression. Also im almost certain you will have to flatten in the pinch welds in the fender well.

Boz...boy that's a good looking hundy!

Good looking trucks. I like the idea of the 33.5-34" diameter. Not as concerned with the width. Several years ag I ran 295's on 26" wheels and they were great.

That's what I run (295's on 16) and while not the biggest tire - definitely makes for the most enjoyable city / highway / incline acceleration for a DD

Nitto ridge also makes a 295/70r17

Anyway excited to see what you end up with - post some pics when you get them

I looked at the specs on the 295. 1/2" shorter and 1/2" wider. If anything I would think that would pose more of a fit issue than the slightly taller but narrower 285/75
