As I'm continuing my build, I have a list of some mods that aren't as flashy but are super useful to have. I thought it'd be good to hear whether you have mods that aren’t so flashy but have a lot of utility as I'm sure there are some that I'm missing or don't know about.

To start off, I've been looking at the rear diff breather from ARB (~$75) that'll help ease any concerns when going over water crossings. I'm deciding whether to route it to the highest point in the engine bay or run it up near the tailights.

Second row USB's would be a good one.

When I spoke to YotaMasters about adding one when they did all the work on my rig, they said for how often one would be going that deep, it's not worth the trouble. Albeit, I live in So. Cal, so we don't have a lot of rain or water crossings.
Another thing to look at instead of routing all that tubing, I believe there are some diff breathers that are baffles. They expand and contract with the gases/air in the diff as it gets hot or cold.
You may want to look at something like that, but I'd also look at the reviews and see how well they work.

I've seen a number route the rear breather up to the gas cap area. Actually pretty easy mod. Seems like cheap insurance to not have to unnecessarily service the rear diff. I just changed my front/rear diff fluids again this last weekend. I change them every 30k miles.

I also replaced the front diff drain with that KAON 24mm drain plug.

I am planning on running the ARB diff breather up to the gas door as well. I like that Kaon plug, I am definitely going to have to order one of those. I have been impressed with the RedArc bracket and rear door table I have ordered from them.

Having a legitimate water crossing on the way to our property means I need to get the breather extension done soon. The front diff and t case breathers are already up in the upper portion of the engine bay, correct?

How deep is that crossing? Worst case?

I think that being a part of your commute is a dream for most of us on here, myself included

Worst case? I’ve seen it about 30-40 feet above that. In that pic it was about 3-4 feet deep. The fence on the side is on higher ground so it’s deceiving.
Yikes!! You don't need a snorkel and diff breather, you need a pontoon boat!!

Quick ARB fridge retention mod today, not really GX specific. May be able to do on other fridge retention systems?

The hardware I had was rusty and the straps were starting to fray. Couldn’t have a tacky looking fridge set up on a new build. I’ve been using Roller Cams for years figured they were a better choice then the ones ARB have. They are of a thicker material and with the roller cam you can get the tension tight!

The hooks and loops were sent out for blast and powder coating. I installed red shrink wrap on the handle hooks where ARB had black.

Overall the look is great and now has far better strap tension abilities. The old ones shown for corrosion and wear, this is a refreshed old, old set.

One topic I've heard conflicting points on in the GXOR group is the front factory tow/recovery points -- some say newer models have them through the frame and welded both sides versus older versions that are just welded onto the frame. Anyone here have a strong opinion or data on the 14'+ models?

Those tie downs look the same to me on all 460s. I had thought that was a discussion between 120 & 150 series.

I've never come across any "documented" 150 series "frame" changes with '14+

I put these Australian ones on mine a few years back before domestic options became available.

It would be easy for a '14+ owner to look at my last pic and see if OEM tie down is the same.

I do see 470 stock tied downs in these pics.

That rust sucks! I think the tie downs on my 2019 look the same as those in the first few pics where the appear to be welded to the face or through the metal but I know they aren't.
