I installed a new fuel pump yesterday thinking a bad fuel pump was the problem not it wasn't. I pump the gas pedal about 30 times and pull the chock and give it a couple of cranks and it eventually cranks up. Somewhere between the fuel pump and the carb the fuel isn't getting there. Could the line that goes from the fuel pump to the carb be blocked? Could it be something else? I can't really figure it out. Thoughts?

check all the fuel hose for air leaks, a hose clamp even a bit loose can cause it to suck air and not move the fuel.

also check the fuel filter.
i had a similar problem with mine and just to make sure your not getting fuel to the carb pull the fuel line from it and check to see when you pump the gas it doesnt come out. key must be on.
also wrap a towel around the end of the fuel line.(i hosed my dad and half his garage) hilarious. but i didnt htink my carb was getting fuel either. turns out my choke got boogered someohow and i had to readjust it/ problem solved

Clogged fuel filter?
You do have the spacer between the block and the fuel pump?
Is the fuel level low in the carb sight glass?
Does gas gush out of the fuel pump when the line headed to the carb is disconnected and the engine is cranked?

Also, double check the fuel line connections to fuel pump....
make sure lines are 'correct' ( supply vs. return) and snug; esp supply.
