NorCal Wagons Rubicon Run 2006 #2

No...your eyes aren't deceiving you -- we're rolling on the Rubicon again!



Some of us couldn't make the date work out for the August NorCal Wagons Rubicon trip...but there's no reason to go without...it's time for the NorCal Wagons Rubicon Trail run of 2006 #2.


We will start at the Loon Lake dam #2 -- head through what was once known as the Gatekeeper on morning of Friday, September 22 at 8:30AM.

Friday's plan is to get as far as we can...be it Buck Island Lake or Rubicon Springs by early evening.

Saturday is somewhat flexible right now. Depending on our progress on Friday, we can exit the trail on Saturday or spend the night at Rubicon Springs.

If we spend Saturday night at the Springs, we would plan an early morning departure up Cadillac Hill on Sunday morning.


I have confirmation from a couple forum members that they will be running the trail and a couple "maybes".

Others are welcome to join.

Plan on meeting at one of two locations.

#1 - 7:00 AM - The Shell gas station (I never noticed, but I was informed that it's a Shell station) at the Sly Park Road exit off Hwy 50. Take Hwy 50 toward Lake Tahoe, exit at Sly Park Rd. Turn LEFT, so under the freeway. When the road ends, you'll see the gas station in front of you. We'll be there for 10 to 15 minutes -- however long it takes to fuel up, hit the restroom, pick up snacks, etc.

#2 - 8:15 AM - Loon Lake, Dam #2, then on through toward gatekeeper at to 8:30 AM.
