I Would like to replace these Two Shims, In my 3sp Fairey Overdrive. It’s the only two shims in this unit. All other parts look ok, I’ll post up Questions in FAQ thanks

Thank you Mark, I’ll try to look into itSomewhere on the net I saw about 15 years ago where someone overseas had posted a list of the parts Fairey used that interchanged with parts from other British vehicles. Seems to me synchros from an MG was one of them. I don’t remember where I saw it, but I know it’s out there. Hth.
Thanks for checking John!I acquired the Fairey Overdrive parts from a business who was no longer going to work on. That was because parts were no longer available from Fairey. In the parts there was a bunch of certain bearings but very few shims were included.

John, that is an EXCELLENT suggestion ! The odds are that whatever wore the originals out changed the tolerances, so just replacing the originals may not be adequate.Hey @Half Wacked aka Split Pea why not get some shim stock, fold it in half and cut your own shim ring?
