No VCS light on instrument panel

hi guys, on my 2007 V8 automatic, I don't seem to have an indicator for VCS.
According to the manual, this is enabled by default and disabled when the central diff lock is engaged. I would expect a light to come in to indicate that VCS is off. IF that's not the case, how would I know if it's in fact disabled as expected?

Context: Driving in the middle east desert dunes, need VCS off.

Two things to check ....

1. Use Techstream to see if VCS is really off when you engage the CDL.
2. If so, you can pull your instrument cluster to check the bulb, and replace if necessary.

Does the CDL light come on when you depress the button?

Yes. Further when i turn the ignition and all the lights light up, i do not see VCS flash either. Not sure if all the lights are meant to flash at this point..

Techmaster healthcheck output with CDL engaged.
What should I be looking for to verify if VSC was engaged?
There are no error codes reported in the healthcheck status bar a SRS code B0101 (I'll get this looked into separately)

On the lefthand side, you can run Active Tests to see if the VSC is functioning properly or select from multiple Utilities.
