First idea was an old battery, but since that is new.....

I had the same problem. Any time I was not around the truck would not start and the battery was dead when I got back to it. It was tough to diagnose but the problem was MY WIFE! She would not choke it and she would pump the gas then she would remember to choke it, and pump the gas some more. She would flood the crap out of it then just keep cranking till the battery died. I had to sit there one morning (for the 10millionth time) and "SHOW" her how to start it up. My truck grew to hate my wife and would allways bitch out on her. However, that truck seems to love me and has never faild to start or give me any trouble at all.

P.S. Try a block heater for those real cold mornings they work wonders.

If you have a new battery and no juice after having it sit for a few hours or even days, the only thing that makes sense to me is that you have something drawing power from your battery when the wagon is not running. The cold weather would accelerate the battery getting drained if the battery is being used without it being recharged by the alternator.

Unfortunetely it could be a number of things and diagnosing it is difficult. I would check the alternator to make sure it is OK but my guess is you have a short somewhere but my guess is not even worth $.02.
