I remember a thread in the last year about turning the key and nothing happens. I have full power, lights, windows, stereo but no crank. It was 110 outside and I had been running errands. Parked it at the house for a few hours and came back out and no go. A few hours later, no problem, fired right up. If I remember correctly, the culprit is normally the starter (batt cables and connections are good). The only other thing could be the neutral safety switch...right?

First thing to check IMO is the connections from battery to starter. Just 'cus the lights shine doesn't mean you can pull enough current to start it up, and bad/dirty contacts on a truck as old as yours wouldn't be surprising.
If connections are good, next question would be "have you changed your starter contacts lately?". Since you have a '94, I'm guessing you have probably put on over 100K...you may be in serious need of a set of contacts and plunger. Easy and inexpensive repair, but potentially very expensive to let go.

BMT, most likely it's the starter that is going on you. You can get the contacts from Cdan. Cheap and easy to do yourself.
My understanding is that the warmer outside, the more resistance = more starting problems, but that could be hogwash as I don't get that stuff.
Don't know if you have the same neutral safety switch as my 97, but if you do and need to try one before you buy, I could always send it to you.
If you get stranded between now and when you get the contacts from Cdan, tap the starter with a brass hammer, rachet or anything else you have around and that may get you a few extra starts - but no guarantee.

Had the same problem last week but it would start if you turned the key back and forth a few times. I changed the starter contacts (Thanks Dan!) and all is well.
