I have finally reached the end of my winter projects on the "Dickster", with just a few remaining. I can't seem to get the horn working. I took the whole column apart and can trace the wire to the horn, but it doesn't seem to work. I was thinking of installing a Hella airhorn, but can't get any power from the horn buttons to the wire at the front near the rad. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Trying to get the truck so it would pass inspection if I get stopped.

The horns on the early 40 series have points in them that make and break vibrating the diaphram, these points have to be cleaned polished and adjusted, factory manual goes through this.

thanks for the update. Out of necessity I learned how to search under the 40-45 section and located a very detailed description on how to fix the problem. when I get the time I will give her a shot. thanks, Jason
