Ahhhh, I didn't know they had different sidewall designs on each side. I guess all the posers here dig the looks of the scales, I can't recall seeing a set without them!

I told one of the worker at Discount Tires Wednesday to put the scale side of the tire facing the inside so it won't show when they install the wheels. Went there Saturday to check the tires, found out that they're still waiting for the fourth tire to come in and they also put the scale side out on the rims. After careful consideration, I decided to leave them the way they are and actually look better in my opinion.

Got the tires and wheels mounted and test drove them on the street and on the freeway. No vibes or shimmies. Great looking tires and balances well. Noise? What noise? :) Will report back whenever I get a chance to go mudding if anyone cares. :D

Worthless Without Pics!!!!!!

Forget the mud - jump the curb and pose in front of the Transco Tower Waterfalls!!!!

That is one mean looking set of tires! Definetly my next set.

looks awesome...ill be interested to see how they perform air'd down

Thanks. I'm running Slee's 6" suspension lift. These tires are almost 38" in diameter. The 80 behind are on 38.5" boggers with the same amount of lift.

Mud Graps look awesome. Your truck(s) look clean--I like them without all the mods. You still have all the essentials though, big mud terrains, lockers, solid axles, and a receiver/winch mount up front. Perfect.

Okay, gotta ask (always wondered actually)----

HOW MANY 80's DO YOU OWN??

Do you have a "family picture"/ group shot of your fleet?

Thanks,
Jwp

They look awesome! .. Slee 6" to fit those?

Thanks. I'm not into armor. The only armor that I have is the one that I can wear. :) I currently have 5, none are DDs. All 5 were bought within 30 miles of where I live (2 from a dealership). Don't like to travel too much to look for 80s. Still looking for a maroon and blue 80 locally if one comes around. I will try to take family pictures of the fleet later on, they are all in different locations.

x2 on the family picture.:D It must be tough to decide which one to drive each day.
I hardly drive them right now but hopefully will change when I finish all the mods and have more time.

They do. Easy to balance also. They fit on Slee's 6" lift but wouldn't recommend for rockcrawling. Might end up with no fenders. :D

Just had mine out on sunday for some wheeling, actually they do decent in snow and ice with 15 psi and about 1000 studs in them, I kept up with a fzj80,lockers on 35's and an hdj80, lockers on 35's.

Im open diffs on 37's.

Dannnnng 38"s for both rigs? Did you regear?

I'm assuming you have a 5th for each of the two 80s you mentioned. Since you're not armored and no tire carrier, did you get rid of the third row and have the second row out of the way for the spare. How do you keep the spare 38s secure inside the cabin? Any plans on keeping one of your 80s stock height when the knees can't get you over the 6" lift and 38s - :D.

The two you posted look good to go mud bogging. White one looks so nice. Thanks for posting your rig for reference.
