Saw this tricked out GX in the Fountain Hills Safeway parking lot yesterday. Spoke with the owner (told him "hey nice Land Cruiser Prado!" ;)) and he knew what I meant... Said he wheels it, I told him about CSC and gave him my card. His son also has a Cruiser, possible 2 new victims (er, recruits) to the sickness.

First tricked out GX I've ever seen. Nice to see something different!

Actually have wondered about wht one of these would look like lifted up. Front end looks good. next step would be to get rid of the rear tupperware and find something with higher clearnace for the rear bumper. Dont know if there are any custom rear aftermarket bumpers out there for GX's?

Not bad!

There was a nicely built GX at CM13. No tupperware, didn't recognize it at first.

The rear bumper looks like it's custom but they left all the "tupperware" (I like that!) looks like there was a rear tire carrier and there's a hitch mount. I agree more clearance = better.

When I typed this I remembered Four Wheeler magazine had built a 2004 Lexus. The article is here: Trailex and the rear bumper:

This is a very nice looking GX470 but let the truth be told... I saw a stock Lincoln Navigator out ramp it at Sierra Expeditions grand opening of its latest location:hillbilly:

Pics or it didn't happen.

YJEFF came by today for parts and showed me his recently purchased GX470 that he lifted for his wife's ride. Camberg arms, and Rad Flo shocks, springs from an FJC. looking to do bumpers soon,...

The cladding! Think of the gas mileage gain from removing all that stuff. I know it's all plastic but it's heavy Lexus plastic... Still though, nice ride.

I sold my 100 to my Dad and got an 04 GX470 about two months ago. I've read that it's the same chassis as FJCruiser and the 4Runner. They are all based off the Prado. It seems like a good platform but I don't plan on doing much to it since I can still take the 100 out anytime.
