I am selling my M416 trailer, pic attached:

This trailer spent its entire life at Ft Polk, LA. I have lengthened the tongue using 2x4 high-quality rectangular tubing. It will clear the truck body if jack-knifed and backs much easier than the short OEM tongue length. I have added a 3500 lb axle from Southwest Trailer in Dallas. The axle width matches the 80 series axle so it tracks perfectly. The axle has electric brakes but I haven't wired them yet. It is sprung over using the existing M416 spring pack minus the shortest spring. I hadn't gotten around to adding shocks but it rides great like it is or you can add them. Hubs are 6-bolt to accommodate the FZJ-80 wheels and use 80 Series lugnuts. I also have a set of 80 Series center caps if you want them. Tires are 285/75/16 BFG A/T KO's with 50% tread remaining mounted on 80 Series wheels in great shape. Frame was sandblasted, primed and painted two summers ago. I also replaced the bed drain plugs with NOS plugs. The existing lights are standard trailer variety and I rewired them to be reliable while doing the work.

What it needs:

Its been rattle-canned OD to cover the original paint so I could not look too hillbilly-esque running down the hghway. So the body/fenders need to be removed, prepped and painted. Body is in good shape, the only rust is the seam where the tailgate meets the bed. My plan was to remove the rear panel altogether and build in a fold-down tailgate so the rust wasn't an issue. The corrugated floor is slightly warped and wavy as is common with these.

This trailer pulls great behind an 80 and will haul a bunch or stuff. Buyer gets an OD OEM M416 heavy-duty tarp and the pintle hitch that bolts to the 4 holes on the 80 Series rear crossmember. Its registered/tagged in Texas through April 2009. No disappointments here.

$1500 cash OBO or $2000 OBO including this brand new Roof top tent. (Car-top-tent - Products)

DO NOT PM ME!!! Please email me through Mud or call 713-907-5921. If someone is interested I can dig it out of the back of my garage and take more pics.

I was asked about the tongue/hitch. I extended the runners and changed the mounting angle so the stock cast lunette housing could be retained. So you can still run the lunette in the upper or lower hole and it still pivots just like it did before.

I assume you're done selling white 80s. Me too!

Might look right nice behind the white Tacoma though.... :D
