like many, i removed my third row seats. the factory mats were now really inadequate, and i had a hard time finding a replacement. this fix was quick and cheap.

i went to a ranch supply store where they sell 4 foot wide, 1/4 inch rubber mat by the foot. a five foot long piece worked perfect and was only $30. after tracing out the cargo area on a bunch of taped together newspapers, i transferred my template to the mat and cut with tin snips. it took less than 30 min to trace and cut and looked very sanitary. best of all, everything is now covered and protected.

Let see some pics!!! and Welcome to the forums!

Here's my contribution...

This is the first mod I ever did on the rig. I also have the factory carpet, but there are holes in it for the third row seats...so no good. I didn't do the template thing, just laid her down and cut it up. I managed to push it under the trim, but after a year it has come loose some. I used 5' of a 4' wide runner style carpet. I tried to find a colour similar to the interior.

Let's see pics of the rubber mat you got. I live in Alberta, so I'm sure there are a number of ranch stores around. I may just go that way if I can find a decent material. Almost bought a Husky Liner made to match.

Looks good. I've left my seats in even though I never use them. What I don't like is the large holes now in the tire well. Any plans to cover those somehow?

gosh I want to do this, but I cannot!

sorry for the delay

this was how i had done my cargo area mat. cheap and functional, but now replace with my current project.

How about that seat cover....got a brand and/or website on that?

Duragear. it came from Petco.

i'm modifying it right now...i've cut it where the seats split and am stitching in some new material. when it is done, it should not only fit snugger than the original, but i will be able to fold the seats down individually.

when it is done, i will post pics.
