Hey all. We are looking at Sat. Nov. 21st, 2009 for the next tech day. Convenience Car Care in Manassas has agreed to host it.
Wanted to get a show of hands as to how many people are interested. Currently, I am looking at doing the following topics:
Topic 1: Knuckle rebuild. Inspecting knuckles and steering components on a solid axle truck. Rebuilding of knuckles, bearings, replacing seals.
Topic 2: Engine Tune up for carburetor trucks (adjusting valves, carburetor, timing, etc...)
I am currently in contact with Convenience to see if they can provide a mechanic to help out and what we can cover.
We will accept other projects as well since you will have access to the lifts, but these project will need to be reviewed by me and Convenience to make sure they are feasible to be completed during the day. If you take this route, you will need to know what you are getting into and make sure you can complete most of the work on your own.
Most of the rules for the last tech day at Convenience will apply. There will be a charge.
Let us know.
Thanks.
