I talked to a guy yesterday that is interested in buying an FJ cruiser in the next few years...he said he heard from someone the next generation FJ would not have suicide doors...but four regular doors...has anyone else heard this:confused:

ps has anyone had problems with accidentally closing the front door first and slamming the suicide door and causing damage?

thanks

If true I would relook at a new FJ for the wife :)

With two small kids the suicide doors and windows that don't go down make it not so family friendly.

As for closing front door first then the suicide door? I've seen numerous posts on that. IMO Toyota missed the boat by not offering a 4 door version, depending what it would look like :)

There's a photchop thread in this forum that shows a concept - if someone has the patience to search...

Pure speculation, there is no official info about anything like that, and the next redesign is probably 4+ years off.

Which means, at the very least, some aftermarket company is going to have to design and release some pop-out windows for those clamshells. How this wasn't part of the original design is beyond me.
