Hi guys. Nice site. Is there a "diff lock" switch in the 100, similar to the one in the 80's? I'm talking with a guy in another town who never took his low mile '99 offroad, and doesn't know if it has the rear locking differential. What do I ask him to look for? Thanks. :)

YEP, left of the steering colume, rotory knob same as a 80 cept it only has rear locker.

Check out the door stickers too, and use this info to interpret the codes.

Also, if you went under the 'Cruiser and looked at the rear axle--view from front to rear-- you'll see electrical stuff on the top-right-front of the diff. If it has those gizmos, it's got a rear locker.

Check out this 'Cruiser only with Internet Explorer, and just click on the "next" button until you get to the 3rd pic. Except for the diesel engine and manual tranny, you'll see a diff locker switch for the HDJ-100 (same switch for the UZJ-100):

BTW, ~PhP 55 (Philippine Pesos) = US$1.00 ;)
