Howdy-I finally picked up a 100 Series in Austin over Easter. I've been on the thread for a year or so since my dad picked up an 80 Series and started building it up for him. I grew up with a FJ40 so I've been a cruiser fan for years, although I did stray for a while with a bronco and a jeep.

Looking forward to getting mine built up, I lucked out and it already had the ARB and tires(although they're terribly loud). OME 2.5" lift has been ordered, plus Total Chaos UCA's, trying to get the diff drop ordered and slee rear bumper will be ordered just as soon as they get them back in stock! Sliders will be ordered pretty shortly as well.
Here she is- 2000 138,000 miles
Cheers

I definitely will, what sliders to yall recommend? I've looked at Slee, BIOR, etc. I'm sure they all essentially perform the same but I'm still undecided.

It will vary depending on who posts. I prefer a slider that has a kick out in the rear, it helps push the rear quarter panel away from any obstacle you may encounter. The Slee sliders are certainly the most low profile and net you the most clearance. The White Knuckle Sliders provide the most protection (IMHO) with the kick out and how far they stick out. They stick out past the door roughly 1/4". I live in Atlanta and the parking garages are very tight in downtown. It was late and I was going up the ramps, turned to soon and hit the concrete pole. The sliders kept the door off the concrete pole. They will also keep other car doors from banging into your doors, which is a huge plus for you. A huge negative to the person who decided to slam their door into your rig.

Luckily there aren't any "bad" companies that produce products for the 100, they are all very nice and in the end it's up to your budget and preference. Sliders are very cheap insurance, I wheeled my 100 for 3 years with out sliders. I did damage the rockers and I regret that now. I would say sliders are the #1 thing to do for a full size rig like the 100.

Looks great and with those mods you cant go wrong.... looking forward to seeing the progress

Luckily there aren't any "bad" companies that produce products for the 100,

I know one..... They sell shocks, not sliders, so you're good.

Slee Steps or Metal Tech sliders would be my choice. I run the MT's because they have the kick out, but the Slee's are more of a true step slider which is nice too.

Nice truck BTW!

Nice 100! I have been building mine recently and chose the metal tech outpost offroad sliders and love them. Here is a pic

UPDATE

Ok, added some altitude on Friday.
2.5" OME suspesion
Firestone airbags
Total Chaos UCA's
BIOR Diff Drop
White Knuckle Offroad Sliders

Going to crank the torsion bars up a little more tonight and get it realigned tomorrow, not quite level, seems to have settle in the front a bit and riding a little low up front.

Also going to kill the DRL's tonight and throw in some HID's.
Next will be the Slee Rear bumper once they start building those out again.

Looks nice.... I'd like to suggest a new and proper spot for that HiLift. It's dangerous in that position and becomes a projectile missile in the event of a crash.

In the garage until you're wheeling is my favorite place.

And as I always suggest to new members, please consider joining the TLCA http://www.tlca.org/join/join-renew.shtml
It will give you the ability to participate in TLCA sanctioned events like Cruise Moab and you'll get a fine magazine every other month!

Nice work in a short amount of time!

You should try and make the trip up to Ouray with a group of us in August, check it out:

Thanks, me and my buddy knocked it out in a few hours, fortunately we had both been under 100's before so we remembered the steps pretty well.

I plan on making a CO. trip sometime this summer, we've got a family place up in Creede so its a perfect excuse to hit all the good trails up there! I'll check out your link, thanks!

Nice! How do you like the airbags?

Thanks, I don't really have any air in the bags right now. It was really just more of a decision to put them in since I already had the springs out. I suppose they will come in handy if I do load up the rear end though.
