So, I am going to be taking on the task this weekend of flushing my cooling system & tune up. I have searched and read lots of posting by Eric, B, and others that have been very helpful (thank you for your input). I was just out looking just to get prepared for the job and wanted to run a couple things by everyone to make sure I am looking at the right things. I appologize in advance for this because I know it would be in the FSM which I will not have in till end of next week or so from CDan.

Just FYI I will be using the prestone kit to do the flush but will not be doing one as elaborate as e9999. Just flushing & backflushing basics. I would just like to know if the hose that I will be hooking the P. Kit to is the one that is "S" shaped in the picture below?

(Sorry, could not post pics)

The other pic is the 5/8" P.Kit that if I'm correct will be installing to do the backflush.

Again, sorry if this was dumb question. This is my first flush and want to make sure I do it right. Plan on doing my own work on my Cruiser from now on thanks to this board.

Any suggestions or advice will be much appreciated. Thanks again to everyone on here for being so helpful and friendly.

That is the one I taped into with the Prestone T, I did not, and I recommend you do not install in permanently, I disconnected it from the pipe that leads to the thermostat housing and slid the T in the hose and added a 2" piece of hose to reconnect it to the pipe, I did not get much gray stuff out this way, the flow goes in 3 direction from here, the more Direct way that Eric used (e999) puts the entire flow hose through each heater core one at a time, I would think this is preferred and should do a better job of cleaning out the sludge

I did my flush right before Eric posted his overkill method, when I do it again this fall I will use that method
