Hello all. My name is Neil and I live in Huntland, TN. Work in Winchester TN and part time in Huntsville AL. Used to live in Huntsville for years so I know it pretty well. Just moved to TN about 1.5 yrs ago.

I picked up this 85 4Runner for cheap cheap cheap. It's not much to look at but the fun factor is there.

1985 4Runner
22RE 5spd
5.29 gears.
34" TSL's.
Some kind of suspension lift in the front??
Rear is chevy leaf springs.
It's been bobbed, terrible job lol.

The motor is on it's way out. It smokes like a freight train and knocks. It spits oil out of the dipstick I will get it rebuilt soon.

It's ugly as sin but the drivetrain and frame are in pretty good shape.

Future plans:

Get the motor rebuilt.
Rhino line the interior.
Get some body armor.
Have fun!

I also have a 2008 Tacoma TRD Sport as my daily driver. It just has an intake on it. Nice truck.

85s rock. Enjoy your new rig and drive it like you stole it when you get the engine sorted out.

A word of advice on the engine. If you can afford it buy a factory Toyota long block. Cdan can probably get you a good price. I wish I had gone that route. If you plan on keeping that rig long term go factory and never look back.
