Hello everyone, I am new to the area and have a 1987 Pickup that I want to beat up. Can I join in the festivities?

Welcome. Sounds good to us. Next up is Marlin run this weekend, possible Fordyce for Columbus day, and the best meeting all year. On the third thursday in Oct. we have a free pizza annual club meeting , good one to come to for first time. I believe it is at Santa Rosa Marlow Rd but watch this forum and it'll get posted the exact location, it is either Marlow Round Table or Windsor Round Table at 6:30 ish on the third Thursday in Oct.

What John meant to say was 'While we are very easy with regards to membership, we do require all members to join TLCA as this is a chapter club. Additionally, we are focused on safe and sane wheeling, are family oriented, attend many formal or sanctioned events, support open access to public lands but do not support idiots ruining our reputation as responsible OHV enthusiasts, and have just as much fun building our trucks as we do beating them'.

That's what sounds good to us. If that fits your bill, then join us at the October Meeting. A quick review of the PMC threads in this section will point you in the right direction.

That does sound good to me. I do not won a land cruiser is that a problem for joining TLCA?

Nope, not owning a Land Cruiser does not hinder TLCA membership, similair to Pacific Mountain Cruisers, (see attached link), TLCA is also open to all Toyota 4WD's. Just fill out an application and send in your dues, allow 6-8 weeks for processing, and you should get your membership package in the mail.

But remember all of us (the few that remain) DIE HARD, Land Cruiser owners, will harrass all "Darkside" affiliates, any time, place, or reason.

Many of us own both land cruisers and mini's. But watch out for the purist they will still your front knuckles for disc brake swap when you aren't paying attention.

So, Meatusmc, what's the story on your truck?
Any mods, or planned mods? how's about a pic or two?

My truck is a 1987 single cab. I would like to eventually give it a solid axle front end but for now she gets the job done... Well and maybe a better paint job.

John, you would get hurt on that I think:D

He wouldn't get hurt on it, LOOK it hangs abvoe the cab, there is no-way he can even reach the thing with out an extension ladder. hee hee hee hee

That's why I knew he would get hurt. What a picture though...John hanging up there:D

LOOK John is ignoring us now. He posted up on the stolen runner thread, so you know he's read the new postings, but he hasn't responded to the swing thing, wonder if we offended him.

Lets hope so, hee hee hee hee ;) ;p :crybaby:   :whoops: :hillbilly:

Not ignoring, just enjoying. At least I would try the swing, you guys would just pass by cause you are scared.

now some tech, I got the coarse spline third with new arb in 40 and noticed that when I spin the tires with it up on jack stands with arb unlocked and in nuetral the spider gears make a slight clicking as they go around. Goes away if you lock arb(which cycles compressor every 3 minutes so it leaks a little somewhere).
I am hoping the leak goes away when it warms up. I took cover off and soapy checked all fittings so leak must be in the O rings I guess. The noise also goes away if you stop one tire and just spin the other , no noise. Only when the tires are counter rotating do you hear this slight clicking, I am again hoping the arb just needs to break in.
