2010 was a rough year for my 90 series, she did 5 Rally expeditions, and quite a few trails. So for 2011 I decided that I would give her a complete makeover.
I started by fixing all the mechanical issues she had, which included replacing the rear differential ring and pinion, the rear axles, and rear driveshaft. I also took advantage and changed my timing belt and tensioners, and had my winch serviced.
Then I changed out the TJM suspension she had, and ordered a Heavy duty OME suspension. I carry in the front a bullbar and a Warn M8000 winch, so I needed some heavy springs in the front. In the back, I have a rear bumper with dual swingout, a rear roll cage, plus a rear storage solution, a second battery, and an engle fridge. So I need something that will hold the weight. So this is what I ordered from ARB.
Front Shocks: 90004
Front Springs: 2882
Rear Shocks: 60027
Rear Springs: 2892
I also had added a 1" TOYTEC body lift kit. Giving her some more clearance for my 285/70/R17 Maxxis Bighorn Tires.
On top of all the mechanical and suspension changes, I opted for a fresh paint job at the Toyota Collision Center. To fix all dents and scratches.
Here are the pics of all the works that is done.
