2010 was a rough year for my 90 series, she did 5 Rally expeditions, and quite a few trails. So for 2011 I decided that I would give her a complete makeover.

I started by fixing all the mechanical issues she had, which included replacing the rear differential ring and pinion, the rear axles, and rear driveshaft. I also took advantage and changed my timing belt and tensioners, and had my winch serviced.

Then I changed out the TJM suspension she had, and ordered a Heavy duty OME suspension. I carry in the front a bullbar and a Warn M8000 winch, so I needed some heavy springs in the front. In the back, I have a rear bumper with dual swingout, a rear roll cage, plus a rear storage solution, a second battery, and an engle fridge. So I need something that will hold the weight. So this is what I ordered from ARB.

Front Shocks: 90004
Front Springs: 2882
Rear Shocks: 60027
Rear Springs: 2892

I also had added a 1" TOYTEC body lift kit. Giving her some more clearance for my 285/70/R17 Maxxis Bighorn Tires.

On top of all the mechanical and suspension changes, I opted for a fresh paint job at the Toyota Collision Center. To fix all dents and scratches.

Here are the pics of all the works that is done.

Wow... lot of modifications, again. Looks good. What colour is coming, same silver or something else?

I just wondering your tire size, you said 285/70 above, but there is 305/70 at your signature. Which is correct?

HEY MaTTi.

The final color is going to be Silver.

I need to update my signature, the current setup is 285/70/17.

Cheers.

2010 was an intense year for your Prado!!!!

That 1" TOYTEC body lift kit, is the same for 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner?? You did not have any problems during installation?

I can't wait to see your rig finished!!

Saludos

MDST yes its the same from 3rd Gen 4Runner. I did not have any problems with the installation, it was easy and straightforward.

With the bodylift, did you have to extend the steering rack, reposition the radiator etc?

From Toytec's website, it states that the front bumper relocation brackets are not included, how did you address this?

Very impressive rig!

Thanks

The kit was straightforward, there was no need to reposition the radiator, the kit comes with a sterring rack adapter which extendes the length of the rack.

as for the front bumper, since I have an aftermarket one, I had to reposition and extend both of them to the correct height, this is nothing a welder couldn't do.

The rims are Mickey Thompson Classic II wheels.. They were originally aluminum but I had them painted black to go with the rest of the color scheme.

Thanks!!!
