I really wanna get some of the KC lights to put on the rack. Has anyone done this yet? Obviously we'd have to take the air dam off but I'm not sure how to install it. Any ideas?

I just finished up the install of mine the other night. As others have said, it took about an hour to assemble and 15 minutes to get it mounted. I added a 4wd Kings 40" light bar from Amazon and I had to do a little grinding on the mounting brackets to move them far enough back for the windscreen to mount. Overall, I'm very pleased with the rack and it is excellent quality.

My bowfin rack made my cruiser too tall for the garage. 😥. But I knew it would and still went with it anyways! Beautiful product! I get a lot of compliments on it.

I really like that light bar you’ve got, with the outside amber. Is that one bar or a series of separate smaller ones?

And as a warning be careful about the angles you move the truck into the garage at. Especially if you have a sloping drive. The header on my garage door has more than one scuff.

Yeah, the actual house garage is slightly angled and the roof rack pushed up on the rubber edge seal, but the shed is a straight shot up a ramp and that clears cleanly. I’m thinking the eventual addition of drawers and permanent gear in the back might lower the rear suspension a tad and give a little more breathing room though

@boogiebones thanks. It’s actually this one from Amazon.

210W 44" White Amber Yellow Single Row Led Light Bar Spot/Flood/Combo Beam Super Bright Led Light Bar Running Lights Headlight Bar Fog Work Driving Lamp for Off-road Van Camper Wagon AWD SUV 4WD UTE Amazon product ASIN B01NC22RL2
The 39” was about 1” short. The 44” was about 2” too big. I had to cut the fairing a little bit to make it fit. But it works well.

Sweet, it looks great. When you have time, can you take a picture of the light bar with the lights off and closer up? I'm thinking about ordering this until I decide on either the BD or KC bar.

My rack showed up yesterday and I’ll be installing it today after I wash/wax roof. Is there a torque spec I should use for the fasteners?
Not really but you don't have to go to hard on any of the fasteners. Stainless steel is the only way to go on the fasteners for the rack but it is somewhat soft. Going too tight on fasteners will run the risk of galling, making removal very difficult. you will have either lock washers or lock nuts on the critical parts to keep them put.
Good luck on the install!

I havent but I don't think it would hurt either

Just a slight derailment. I received an ARB awning for Christmas. Will their awning mounting brackets work or do I need something else. In case someone already has experience with it....

I know when I got my order in I checked on like a Tuesday or Wednesday morning a bunch of times.

I feel like an echo from past posts...but what is your lead time for 80 series roof racks? I'm willing to wait for this one, but I do have plans this summer that include a rack, and I don't want to paint myself into a corner by waiting too long. :)

Mileage may vary from others, but I watched the site pretty regularly a while back and he tends to restock on almost a weekly basis (maybe Wednesday mornings?). I haven't purchased one yet as I was in the middle of a factory rack removal "project", but lead times and availability seemed very reasonable given current conditions.

Pretty sure it was either Tuesday or Wednesday morning that the site is updated. Absolutely love mine.
