messed up ATRAC? How do you mess up ABS-based system? I have seen where ATRAC (or like system) may clamp down on the spinning wheel suddenly and cause tie rod to break or maybe axle differential issue…but to also damage transfer case???He told me that he was crawling up something super steep, he came down and tried over again. HARRRRD PASS.I'm looking at buying a 2011 LC with 146K miles. The owner has had it for less than a year, but added lots of mods: suspension, control arms, ARB bumpers etc (all professionally installed). In the fall he pushed it while wheeling and damaged the A-trac, so he had to get an all new transfer case and all new front differential installed ($7K - ouch).
Should this scare me off from purchasing it?
How hard to do you have to be running the track to damage it this badly?
That's just a drain, flush, refill, repeat. No reason to spend several grand on water in the gears.Someone soaked it??
Unless you didn’t realize it happened and the water in there destroys all the bearings/hardware.That's just a drain, flush, refill, repeat. No reason to spend several grand on water in the gears.
