Well its a done deal:bounce::bounce2::bounce:. Father was happy with it and mom will be excited. I got to admit it was in great shape. I crawled all over the thing and it was pretty clean. Typical cruiser oil leaks, not surprising. It does need to have some body work. From what I could tell I believe, the rust around the windshield will be very fixable, but agreed it needs to be addressed now for that matter any rust should be fixed. The rest of the body had its dings and scratches from being a 24 yr old cruiser. The interior was immaculate still had factory floor mats, must not have been in a place with kids:clap:. Came with an extensive maintence history, lots of PM work done within 1000 miles ago, and got 17 mpg on the way home.

As far as the 80 vrs 60 money question. I would love to have an 80 along with my 60. My mom would not. She learned how to drive on a 40 and when she bought the 60 that I have, she fell in love it. You should of seen her when we almost bought that other 60 with all the work that needed to be done, and that thing did not hold a candle to this. Is it the nicest 60 out there, no. Did we rush out and buy, probably. I saw an opportunity to get my parents back into a 60. All I ever did was present them options, and my input. It was there final say with there money. Did we pay the asking price, no. We're both parties happy, damn right they were.

I love everybodys input, this is what brings the club together, everybody looking out for each others intrest. Anyways no pictures, its at home in Alturas, and in the family forever. I'm sure my daughter will get this when she turns 16.

Good deal. I've paid more than I really wanted on things but that is better than dragging a "bargain" home and then realizing that I might have been better just spending the $$$$ on something that was solid.

Window rust was taken care of last weekend. Turned out to be very minor, well rust is never minor but, this was not a problem at all. I will shoot some pics this week.

It truly is clean. Mom has been driving all over the place. She is happy to be back in a 60. Don't think she will take in on Mcgrew but I will try.

Noted: stock-unsmashed tail pipe, factory wheel centercaps, factory bumpers and rubber end caps intact, and plush dash cover over an uncracked factory dash I assume.

Is the plastic trim piece around the heater/ashtray cracked? If not then that is a real gem...

Of course, it looks like its missing a snake blinder.

This is the one with some rust, but it already got fixed and repaired. Yup it is missing a snake binder, and I'm looking for one. You got one Kief? It also has that crack around the trim that you speak of, Not perfect by any means but nice.
