Wellcome to the area.
There are two locals with Diesels Cruisers. Jim has a HJ45 and Mac has a BJ42 JIm and I have been tinkering with his HJ for the last two years and have not had much luck finding anyone to work on it but Scotty at the Diesel pump and injector shop has been very helpfull with advice and information and we've made some major improvements by fixing the obviouse stuff. If we can't find someone soon, our plan it pull off the injectors and pump ourselves and have scotty go through them. Scotty will not pull the parts off, they only bench test and rebuild injectors and pumps, they don't work on the actual truck.
Jim said that he may have found found a guy to work on the motor, PM me and I'll get you in touch with him. IIRC the guy has a background on working with Kubota and industrial equipment with small japanese diesels like Toyota forklifts, yanmar, bobcat, etc.
As far as the rust goes, fix it yourself. It's a never ending battle with a 40, if you learn to do anything DIY that should be it. For a thrid of what you'd pay someone to do it, you could buy the tools you'd need to do it. THe sort of welding skills you need for rust repair are pretty low on the totem pole.
Bring it to the Vienna Inn this Saturday.
