Hey guys,
I've recently relocated here from the DFW area for a new job. I do plan on attending a GCC meeting soon (not March's unfortunately). I am an active member of Toyota Trail Riders, TLCA, and LSLC. I still try to make it down south for some runs and am looking forward to going with y'all sometime. I'm pretty sure I know Lance (hey Lance) from the LSLC meetings at Pappa's in Dallas (I'm the '84 Poo Brown 60).
Besides the introduction, I had a question for you local guys...Where do you get your toyota parts when your in a hurry? Living in DFW I always got my parts from Toyota of Dallas because they're great guys and they're all good friends of mine. However, I find myself in a situation (wife's corolla) where I need to get parts ASAP. I ordered an $8 part from Bob Howard Toyota and it was the wrong one and now they won't accept a return on it (way bad customer service). So I call Dub Richardson from work and they won't order the part unless I come in and pay for it...company policy to not accept CC info over the phone. Is this the norm for OKC area dealers? I really don't want to sound negative, but I can't understand why a parts departmet would be willing to lose a customer over an $8 part.
Thanks for any advice and I hope to meet up with you guys soon (checking about going on the Poker Run)!
Cheers,
Matt
