I had a 86 HJ60 and really liked having a diesel. Unfortunately the road salt from upstate NY took its toll and with over 500,000 km, it was sold.

Well I have a new diesel, a 1991 LJ77 with a 2L-T.

I want to add A/C. Any recommended aftermarket kits for the 70 series?

Also a lift. I have been looking at the Dobinson's 60 mm lift. Again, recommendations from those experienced with the 70 series.

I do plan some light wheeling with LJ. I'll leave the more challenging trails to my FJ55 or FJC.

Thanks for the advice.

Try to find an A/C system from an LJ78. Should be pretty much bolt-on.

And yes, Dobinsons make the best easily obtained lift for these things.

Make sure you give that 2L-T some extra love and preventative maintenance. Don't overheat it! They can be reliable and decent engines with a few upgrades.
