Hi all,

Been the owner of a 62 series for the last 12 odd years and loved that truck to death... sadly the time came when it just wasn't feasible to stick with the 62.

Enter the new 105, this is a 2000 model, 5 speed manual with the 1FZ. I had a very good idea of what I wanted and found this one interstate, a phone call, deposit, plane trip and settlement, then a 8 hour drive home. Ran flawlessly.

So... I hear you say, whatdidyagit??????

Its a 2000, 225'000 klms, 5 speed manual. Vapor injection LPG (propane) gas system, 2 inch lift using Dobinson coils and Koni Raid 88 shocks, Whiteline upgraded sway bars, air bags in rear, Hi-Tech extractors and hi-flo 2'5 inch exhaust, safari snorkel, Exedy heavy duty clutch, roof racks with ARB fold out awning, Milford Cargo barrier, custom built draws and UHF, new 275/75/16 BFT A/T's.

Previous owner had fitted these accessories and been fairly good with the servicing. Once home I baselined all the fluids, replaced the ball and socket bushing in the base of the gear shift to remove the slop, rotated tyres, pulled down the rear brakes and cleaned/adjusted the handbrake setup. I also had an ICOM uhf from my old truck so I removed the previous owners CB and installed mine as it has a scanner inbuilt and lets me listen to emergency services etc.

So far its been a joy to own but there are some additions to be made: I've ordered a new rear bar and tyre carrier from Kaymar and will also purchase some black steel rims and fit up some 285/75/16 Cooper STT's for travelling.

Of course all this chat is useless without pics, so without further delay...

Some pics...

I also tinted the windows to keep things a bit cooler in the summer here.

Congratulations Mutely, both your rigs look really nice. What kind of MPG's do you get with Vapor injection LPG (propane) gas system? Is it a combo of propane and regular gas? We don't get all the goodies over on this side of the pond.

As always, keep Cruisin

Thanks Bonze. The vapour system is fairly advanced, it runs its own individual gas injectors that are drilled and mounted into the inlet manifold, has its own computer that links into the existing sensors to control delivery rates etc. This is a SprintGas system. It either runs on straight LPG or petrol but not both at once. Out of 100 litres of LPG I'm getting between 475 and 520 klms per tank and costing about $55 to $60 dollars to fill.

that pic with the trailer is the only one that's upright for us with US browsers... :)

hahaha thanks guys! Yeah we do things all wrong here, steering wheel on the wrong side, photos upside down, water that swirls down drains the opposite way....

Thanks for the comments Beno, I really wasnt prepared for how big a step it is from the 60 to the 100, I'm in love all over again!!!
