Thanks again Chad I'll get to scrubbing those today! It was amazing how much dirt was in the carpets! Almost twenty bucks at the pressure washer and still only better. Another day or two inside and then it's on to real work. Any suggestions on cleaning the leather? I was thinking simple green, rinse well and then thoroughly coat with good leather treatment.

I think I read on a jeep forum somewhere that you're supposed to hold down your purple racing seat with 3 1/2" deck screws. I believe the theory was that if your frame broke in half (keep in mind this was for a jeep after all) that the plethora of deck screws protruding from under your seat would dig into the dirt and stop you from rolling down the hill. I dunno, it must be a jeep thing that I'll never understand but the logic seems sound. :)

Saddle soap- glycerine based cleaner. Foams pretty good and lifts the dirt/moistens the leather. Probably the same as leather cleaner. Good for the vinyl too. Very mild.

Thank you again Kief!

Well so far no deck screws but definitely no shortage of drywall screws, PO must have had a newer Jeep also :whoops:

Can we nickname it "holy moldy" or "ol moldy" or "white guacamoldy"? I'd just really like to see the word mold in your signature.

It's just a cultured cruiser, ya know, like bleu cheese or yogurt. They take on a life of their own when stuff starts growing in them.

We are all about the cruiser culture. At least the ants are gone, they were probably eating well.

Ants much?

I was actually thinking about that and yip prolly should....think I'll wait until I get the interior back in the eighty. Or later tonight when I go in and log on from computer instead of phone. :flipoff2:

Get the hose out.. A bucket of hot soapy water and a scrubber and give those ants a bath!

Already taken care of, thank you though Kief! Ants don't much care for Simple Green.
Aside for the glugging noise from the passenger side headliner/a pillar when the hose is on the sunroof, and trimming the heater insulation to fit the floor, it's about time to start putting the interior back together.

Coool! Now a heavy purple shag to go nicely with the chair you had....:D

All that will make a world of difference in the way it looks and smells when it is done.

I also remember reading a long time ago that the ants were attracted to the smell of the carpet backing and would even eat it when it started to disintegrate into a powder.
