new to me 60

[fj4play]

i have a 84 fj60 that has been setting for a long time. after it runs for a while gas leaks from the carb on the drivers side from what looks to be a mechanical vent boot. i got a kit and rebuilt the carb . no diagrams showed this part or any parts came in the kit for it. reassemble the carb thinking maybe it was a sticky float but i am still having this problem . the carb works great other than this problem. i would be thankfull for any advise or tips

Sounds like the secondary slow cut valve.

thanks that is the p.o.s. that is leaking and it only comes on cal. emission carbs dont figure . thanks again for the link.
