I guess the title and my name explains it all.

Basicly this is just an introduction. I love the outdoors, and for a long time now I have liked LCs. I have been snooping on this site for a little while. And I love the look os 60s. As of right now being 19 I don't have any cash to buy one. So I am stuck with my $700 beater. I like to think of it as a "trail rig", I mean, it does pretty well off road for what it is. Well, here is it, my '88 Plymouth Reliant wagon... yea, I know, it is a K car. Oh, and the bke in front of it is a GT Pro Performer, I don't know much about the bike, I got that for free.

Once I get a full time job and pay off some debts I will be looking for a FJ60.

I got my 88 fj62 for 600 and I drive it everyday. They are out there if you look hard enough.

I looked around when I was buying this and all the 60s around here were over 2k. The one 62 that is near me is $4,500, but it has 115k on the odo. I figured I save my pennies, buy a 60, sell the reliant and then put that money into the 60 I buy.

Welcome to the forum...

lol

See if you can find someone to give you one. I was given mine, aka $0. Then again, I did have to put $600 into it to get it drivable, but that;s beside the point.

115K?! Thats barley broke in.
What ya going to do about your name in 6mo?

Welcome, and please post pics of your car on the trails.

^x2....lol, great post.....a first for an offroad k-car

Please show us some pics of the articulation, all flexed up on the trail... with all that ground clearance.

Keep your chin up, you've got the right attitude about 60s.

I started admiring 60 series 'Cruisers when I was 17, 10 years later I owned one, and nine years after that it's sprung over with 37s.

...joy.

Welcome! you are smart looking into this forum before you get into a 60. Now you can start doing your research and have fun reading up on the truck.

Check the for sale section. Build one up piece by piece. Maybe someone has a frame and drivetrain to put your Kcar body on.

Hell, I saw an old AMC Eagle wagon with the fenders cut, running 33" Swampers. Anything is possible when you are desparate.

Welcome to the forum.
