You seem upset.

Don't worry, be :bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:

There is a story involved... I know it! I thought my month and a half adventure was bad. What say you? :grinpimp:

You would know Tony - new tires are neat and fun but then theres the high CO$T

and he's running 15's - once the most popular and least expensive size but now the "rare size" and prices are more

I see guys switching to 17's now becasue theyre cheaper than 15's and 16's - go figure!

I need to get my wheels cleaned up and sold to get some of my money back. ;)

Darn it, I really liked your old wheels; I would have bought them if I hadn't already got some. Now, if I could only get my prerequisite mods done, I could have them installed! :D

I know, I tried getting the tire situation done around the X-mas time frame but had some obstacles. It was worth the delay in the end. I have all 5 and center caps, just need to clean them up and do some posting on CL.

Something I have been considering lately.

Subject: Coming soon - AMAZING TIRES

They have been testing these for several years now. Resilient Tech

was developing them for the military application.

Amazing new tires.........................

Michelin Tires... Absolutely SCARY looking... Look for 'em in August.

These tires are made in South Carolina , USA . SEE THROUGH TIRES
Radical new tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires.

They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.

Yes, those are 'spoke' like connections to the inner part of the tire from the

outside tread 'wrap!' The next picture shows how odd it looks in motion...

Makes you wonder how the ride feels doesn't it?

These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon. The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these. Just think of the impact on existing technology:
A. no more air valves...
B. no more air compressors at gas stations...
C. no more repair kits...
D. no more flats...
These are actual pictures taken at the South Carolina plant of Michelin.

sorry tried to post something that isnt posting through ....damn contraptions:censor::censor::bang::flipoff2:

Change your font color to something that is less black.

i know about teh black i tried to fiddle with it but no luck it was info about the new "Tweels" that are out thought it was pretty interesting

... the new "Tweels" ...

Not new, they have been playing with that concept for a longtime.

... Have they figured out how to air down? ...

That is one of the big issues. One setup to have the correct "stiffness" for a 10,000lb rig is going to suck on a 6,000lb rig. So the target is for military, where rig spec is closer, but most of them prefer the air down option. So it has been mainly a product without a market.

wheel backspace

ok sorta of a dumb question however, if i where to ditch my 31" BFG and upgrade to 33" and put larger 16x8 rims instead of teh 15x6 stock steelies i have on my rig do i still have to get a wheel with teh same 3.75" backspace or does it change if im going with a bigger wheel. planing on jumping the gun and hopefully geeting my new tires and wheels more sooner than later

Likely need about the same backspace. IIRC they have an issue with the rim contacting the tie rod. If getting rims, agree that 16" would be a good choice. I like the way they look with '80 series alloys.

so now the big question. i know alot of ppl (namely the CSC folk) like the Nitto Terra Grapplers if so price aside any any prefrence between the A/T or the M/T looking for something both road and trail worthy being that my rig is also my DD
or has any one heard any thing bad or any opinions about the GoodYear Wrangler MT/R i know therice is a lil better and a few friends of mine have them. i knowthey seem to have done rather well off road but havent decided yet what i really want as of yet
