So, how'd those babies roll?? Good trip? Did the "e" rating have a negative impact? It looks like I can get a set of them here locally in a day or two. But I'm nervous to pull the trigger.

Thanks for your input!

They were great, I was really impressed! They rode nice, and no problems in mild wet and light snow, though that's not saying much. No mileage figures yet. Speedo is off by almost exactly 6% (what I expected from my paper calculations), verified by my Garmin hand held GPS. On a whim I took the rear up to 45 psi (with no weight or even the spare tire in the back) and the ride did get a bit harsher, which I expected, but still not bad. Personally, I could live with it. Once I get the weight of the rear bumper and spare back on there, it should settle down and ride nicely. For now I'll probably take it back to 40 psi.

Took some pics but need to get them off my camera.

This thread is beat without pix...

Pics or it didn't happen!

With the 865s on in back (won't do the front until I get the front bumper and winch back on):

Yeah, looks good. I like the proportions. It's gonna be sweet with your bumper and all.

Thanks for posting and all the info. Very helpful.

I like the pink trike too.

Looks good. For some reason, I was expecting to see Unimogs in the background.

Both Mogs and the G-Wagen are at my buddy's place in Vacaville. He has a full shop so it's easier for me to work on them there (can't convince my wife yet that I need a lift, a plasma cutter, a pipe bender, or a giant bandsaw...).

One of the Mogs isn't much to look at, it's just a bare frame right now...

Them be 33s? I thought they'd fill the wheelwells more, but what do I know.

They look great regardless and I'm glad to hear the ride is nice!

Ahhhh... wait a minute.. 18" wheel... Oops... :o

A set of Goodyear Silent Armors in the 285 75 16 E size was installed on my truck a couple of months ago. They roll smooth, do not negatively impact my MPG, are very quiet, and work well off road.

This is an excellent all around tire. These tires are not glamorous. They are functional!

Here are pics of this size.

How do they do at high speed? (Vibration, or hopefully, lack thereof.)

If replying to this question, please indicate speed range(s) vs. vibration or relative smoothness - highway speeds.

Thanks!

I've had mine up to 80 mph, no problems. We''ll know more next week. Will be leaving the Sacramento area for LA and San Diego tomorrow morning.

Hello from Disneyland! All the Disneyland hotels have included broadband, so I don't have to give up my Internet fix.

Truck did awesome on the drive. Hit speeds upwards of 90 mph, no vibrations or any other problems. Rolled very smooth, with just a tad bit of harshness on rougher pavement (though some of that could have been the new suspension). Handling seemed more precise (but that could also have been the new suspension and the Bilsteins). I ran 40 psi in front and 43 in back, with about 250 pounds of cargo in the rear. Human cargo consisted of myself and the wife in front, and our 2 year old daughter in the second row. Mileage seems slightly down, but I don't have precise figures yet.

Anyway, I'm pleased with the tires and it looks like I won't have to invoke the Goodyear 30-day ride guarantee! And the tires look awesome. The pics don't do it justice, the thing just looks a lot more manly all of the sudden!

Sweet, a true internet addiction right before our very eyes ;p!!

Glad to hear they're working out well. Does your new suspension include a lift? I thought you may have mentioned that earlier, but wasn't sure.

Have fun at the Happiest Place on Earth!

275/65/18's Goodyear Wranglers, 99LC with 03' LX Wheels. So far so good. Lots of snow in Wisconsin to try them out.

Do these tires work with the factory TPMS? I'm not sure if your model has that so pardon my ignorance.

I was looking for replacement tires on Costco and they did not carry anything for the TLC, I'm just curious about the cost of replacing all of them when the time comes...
