New Stereo Antenna interaction questions (1 Viewer)

Hey guys and gals. I recently installed a new stereo. Maybe more than that, but a Pioneer AVIC-N2 which has the built-in Navigation, Sirrius (i have) / XM, and DVD / CD player, and of course a normal FM / AM tuner.

So what is my technical question is has anyone done this before and then have their antenna not function as it did with the factory radio. I only want the antenna to extend when I am using my FM / AM tuner and not when I am playing cd's or using the sirrius radio.

Any suggestions?

should be a remote wire on the radio for the power antennae.

Do you know the color of the wire within the toyota and if it is specifically for the antenna operation....I then need to figure out what the wire is off of the radio and connect those? I think my antenna is running to the Sirrius receiver under my seat. Not sure why that is since it has it's own receiver located on the back of the vehicle in front of my spoiler. I am prob. going to take if back to the installers and see if they can fix it. Right now even if I have the radio turned off with ignition in the on postion(not listening to anything) and the faceplace gets put in then the antenna goes up.
