ok it time for some new tires for my lc I am planning on putting the ome lift from slee with the diff drop. i want first a good tire! i do more sand dunes than anything. i would like to put the fattest uglyiest tire i can fit on my Lc but with out rubbing and messing with the gears! Any suggestions?

When my unbalanceable Continental Sportiva AT's wear out I plan on checking out some Nitto Terragraplers. I have heard some good things about them and they are pretty reasonable.

33" boggers?

Damm wb !!!! Just took a look at the boggers those things are to ugly and scary for me but i did say ugly din't I!!!

Buy some TSL radials. Just met a guy at a 4wd shop that ran 25k miles on his heep. Still has over 50% left.

Dick Cepek - Quiet Giants.

Are they even still in business?

Sand = All Terrain tires

BFG AT's or Nitto Terra Grapplers. I'd go with the Nittos because they are beloved by several members here and they are cheaper than the BFG's by about $40-50 each.

305 70 r16's (wider) or 295 75 r16's (taller) should fit nicely with the OME lift and not screw your gearing up too badly.

BTW, you belong to any off road clubs in LA?

Read the past threads too because this was discussed recently.

like those pj's but wonder if they'll last! Is there mile warranty on off road tires?

FYI on the PJ's, Alan put 36x14's on the UTE back 100 before he sent it to me. I drove it roughly 150 miles a day for 8 months, 70/30 split between pavement and limerock roads and sand. I had very, very little wear.

I give them "two thumbs up" right with the Nitto Terra G's (which I have two sets of 33's and 35's).

Doug

thanks ultra pj's are looking better and better!!

u think 33" are to big for my rig?

No 33's are def. not to big!!! Not even w/ the stock suspension. If you get a lift you'll want 35's!!! :)

33"s Are not too big. Just right on a stock 100.

Don't die wonder'n....GY MTR 285/16 R75's!

The man asked for ugliest and fattest tires he could fit, and although the mtr or an AT might be the most practical choice, they are by no means fat or ugly. Go with an ugly ass swamper.

I did say ugly but when those lights came on i had to go Running!!! Those swappers are just to crazy!!!
