What was the motivation for the change? Do the Nitto's feel much heavier than the MT/R's?

I think the Nitto's are 3lbs heavier each in this size.

Hundy looks great! How many miles did you get out of the MTR-K's?

My motivation for switching to a different tire was:

• Mileage. I got 20,000 odometer miles from the Goodyears. That is about 18,700 real miles. They did not last as long as I had wanted.
• Reviews. I've seen lots of good reviews here on the Nittos. People seem happy with them.

It was time for new tires so I decided to try something different. Time will tell if I get more miles out of the Nittos. I sure hope so.

I notice no difference in tire weight.

If anyone is interested in an unused Goodyear MT/R-K that was my spare let me know. It is 275/70-18.

If you need more detailed pictures let me know - I will have to take them. The section above the sunroof is removable. This is an awesome rack, it is very stout and it has a low profile which I like.
