A new lightening caused fire has grown to 2000 acres as of yesterday. It is located northeast of Cuba NM, north of hwy 126, in the Jemez mountains. In the San Pedro Peaks Wilderness area, north of FR 70. . Fire crews and air support are in this area.
FYI if you are in this area of the Jemez Mts.
Staging area for fire crews are in Coyote, NM on Hwy 96., also.
There may be forest road closures in these areas.
