Spent some of Sunday arv installing my fishing rod , crab spear PVC holder , all right or what? Also holds tarp poles. 100_0270.webp

Those brackets look like Rhino Rack brackets. We fit PVC tubes to the Ergon cruisers we fit out at work. Do you have an "R" clip or similar to stop the corrugations vibrating the cap loose. Last thing you want to do is lose your fishing rods.

No R clip ,havent had one fall off yet , touch wood. Good idea though.

Ergon has lids fall off their pvc tubes all the time. We fit r-clips and also fit a wire trace to the cap and the r-clip so they don't get lost.

oh I see that in the pics now

Yep - my tarp poles are lashed to the side of the rack with shock cord. That setup looks nice.

What do you think of using that pipe with a hose attached for non-potable water for rinsing off sandy kids before they get in the car after a day at the beach?

What's a R clip? I'm thinking of doign something similar to house my pullout awning thing. Maybe I can use a screw on pipe cap that won't vibrate off? Off to home depot I go!

Yobbo

All the trace will do os stop you loosing the cap. As Mickldo said the caps will vibrate off and you can loose the contents. A couple of years ago I lost the cap off one on my camper and lost 12 poles for my tarp. An expensive little exercise. They do make good water tanks too all our trucks at work have them mounted behind the cab

Funnily enough an r-clip is an agricutural clip shaped like a capital R.
We drill a hole in the cap about 10mm from the end so it just clears the o-ring. The r-clip is fitted so the straight side of the R goes in the hole and the curved side of the R goes to the outside of the cap.

I fitted a hasp and staple to mine and hold it in place with a tractor clip. Only problen is getting it to line ip right each time. You have to start in the right place on the thread
