Haven't loaded the rack yet but will on Thursday for a 2000 mile trip each way. Will be hauling my pop up trailer. How much do I need to be concerned about weight in the rack as far as being top heavy?

Probably not much at all. You will need to worry about the weight limit of the rack more than being top heavy unless you're doing some wheeling.
