Looks like you got your work cut out for you. Are you going to get rid of the 6.2? A 5.9 cummins conversion would be cool.

motor has 42k miles. im already doing the 6bt conversion homework. im also looking into a duramax 7.8L six (i think its too tall).

But if it runs and drives good ill likely just replace the rear r fender and the b pilar and get a new soft top and soft doors and wheel her like she sits. 150hp 275ftlbs. max speed 55mp pinned

still faster than dans 40

Wow...we might actually get to see someone wheel an H1!

I saw one in a driveway in Hanford this morning, I think it was toward the East end of Fargo.

The guy on 10th and Fargo has a black H1.

He usually parks it on the street in front of his house.

A year or longer ago, some drunk came flying done Fargo and rear ended it. Ended up underneath the H1. The H1's rear end was torn off and shoved under the transmission. It's fixed now.

I also used to own a wannabe hummer, an H2.

What a sled. It was comfortable to drive, and would do 90 on the freeway. It got 9 or 10 mpg all day long, parked with the engine off, or going down the road. The interior was cheap plastic sh*t, and the mirrors vibrated so much you couldn't see the cops behind you. My wife had to hire a guy just to open the back door when she went shopping.

It almost got 7 mpg while wheelin, but had a 35 gallon tank, so I had a "little bit" of range. I ripped the step bars off at Hungry Valley OHV when it was new.

When I drove it up Danimals ramp, to check flex, I think it went up about 122 inches.

For the money spent, it was a complete waste. I shoulda bought a 6 or 8 old Toyotas.

I be had the pleasure of wheeling them ( gov issue) in about ever configuration you can think of.... In elpaso desert and surounding areas Colorado mnts , Washington state, and saudi desert ! Pretty stable, if you keep that setup buy extra glow plugs, and watch stock power steering lines we used to break those all the time( mostly in the desert)you have lots of options ... 2 door, 4 door, you can get soft tops to cover seats or the whole cargo area.... You should have fun

im liking the expedition options the truck presents but it is way underpowered as it sits even if the motor runs well. a cummins swap may happen. i found out that the h1 on fargo is a 12v cummins conversion. the guy who owns it frequents pirate4x4.com. i pmed him.

still waiting for the truck to ship out of salt lake. im waiting for a truck to commit to the load. im paying $650 to ship her here when a truck becomes available. if anyone will be pulling a load and can toss an h1 on their truck (its in salt lake city) let me know. you can have $650

The rig is is good shape for the price he paid. HE threw on some new tires and cut out the bent rear corner. Parts are cheap. I need to go by this week and see his progress.
