My fat ass cant fit in seats like that. They are pretty thoe.

Corbeau does make wider versions of many of their seats.

I had the suspension seats in my FJC, love them. They will be going into the truggy.

Let me know if you need anything else Ramon, I am a Corbeau dealer.

Hey, sorry about that Stan. 4ws.com had a thread on Pirate and quoted me a killer deal. Basically, I the 2 XRS seats and universal sliders shipped to my door for $675 total. That's less than MSRP for just the seats before shipping or tax. I should have checked with you but didn't even think about it - my bad.

bling bling, aren't you fancy. Looking good man!
Let's see them in there!

I'm testing out the new iPad3 speech to text and it's working pretty well. Thought I would reply to you here Jared. I have to get with Jerry and build a cradle off the roll cage. Man I wish this iPad was mine and not my mother-in-law's

Currently mocking up the seats so Jerry can help me get a tube cradle made. I took the seats and tuffy console and laid it all out on plywood, and bolted it down. Then moved it all (minus the Tuffy to reduce weight) into Dozer.

The original "plan" was to run a new tube from the rollbar B-Pillar to the A-Pillar that would somewhat match the profile of the lower seat cushion. The tube was to run between the seat cushion and the door. This was going to encourage myself and any passanger to "hop" in and out, rather than slide to help prolong the life of the seats. I think we all know how the cushions wear from exactly that, especially on tall vehicles.

However, once I got the mocked up layout in Dozer, this is what I found:

As you can see, there is almost zero room for any tube where I wanted it to go, so I suppose we are off to plan B - run the tube lower, just beneath and inside the profile of the seats. There will be two crossbars (1" tube) to accept the front and rear mounting points of both sets of sliders, front and rear. The front crossmember will bend in the middle, away from the firewall, to (hopefully) allow easy removal of the transmission tunnel.

Still laying everything out, because I want to get it right the first time. Thanks to Jerry for spending a while with me Sunday taking a look, and for the commitment to help me build this thing out. I guess that's the price you pay when you have the cool toys :D

More updates to come, stay tuned.

With center console, and mocked into the right spot in the cruiser. I can actually drive it around the block the way she's "rigged" right now at least :D

Now, all that's left is actually mounting them in the truck :grinpimp:

Update coming tonight - spent last night buttoning up the fan clutch on Emma's 80 and replacing the Silicon Oil. Shhhhh - she's out of town and I didn't tell her I was doing it, so I want to see if she can tell a difference without any placebo affect.

Ok - First, HUGE props to Jerry! He basically gave up his whole Sunday working on this, plus Regina fed me too :D Davis clan is top notch!

So we started with some 1 3/4" tubing to tie together the A and B pillars, then used some 1" to make cross bars to eventually support the new sliders (seat rails). Instead of having to try and explain, here are some pictures:

Tabs I'm in the process of fabbing to create a front mounting point that will create the rearward slope (it drops about 2 1/2" from front to rear). Yes, I need to trim my thumbnail :D

Still have some work to figure out the rear mounting points. Jerry, I think the rear crossbar needs to move forward a couple of inches. Hard to explain in writing...
