Hey ToyotaMatt,

I have a 74 fj40 and am having issues with gas pedal/linkage operation.

I have aftermarket weber with all original pedal, linkage...

But it does not pull smooth, every push is different, i hit a bump and am WOT way too easy, is hard to modulate t throttle at all. This makes slight wheeling a nightmare!

Any thoughts, ideas or products?

I am searching threads, finding little, but found this

I need to regain full throttle control...

this may hurt a bit , but take it with my GOOD solid MUD buddy and Professional Land Cruiser Life time of simple observation and in my hands in my shop trucks too ..


LOOSE THE Ghetto WEBBER junk Carb ...and go back to a OEM carb ,,,

- any time i see an NON TOYOTA major engine system component , its life cycle is SHORT and problematic too


- call me mr. OEM , but if you had a oem carb. we would NOT be having this enlightening chat


- so .....

- have you ever heard or read a GOOD long term use webber story here on MUD or anywhere for that matter ?
