New Noise = new problem?

new noise will it ever end....

When I go arround a roundabout (steering left) and the front left wheel de-weights I get a loud humming sound. (Almost like you would get from a big chunky set of MT's) but its not consitnt, it slows and speeds up with the speed of the vhiecle.

Sound like a bad bearing to you guys? Anything else I sould look out for?

Yip, wheel bearing. You have the ability to do this job yourself so it will only cost you a bearing and a tub of grease. You might as well re-pack the other side while you are at it. Search around for detailed instructions (its covered in the FSM as well). Drop me a mail/post if you have any questions.

Just need to go buy a torque wrench. Ill pull the WSM details and have at it.

Im planning on going camping this weekend, 150km out to the dunes, an hour in the dunes and then 150km back, considering ill just replace both would you advise against it, or will it be ok?

I can send you mine that I did prematurely. There are a 100k on them but I had no problems. PM if interested (I'll go double check that they're sitting on the garage floor wrapped in a rag).

I had a strange noise coming from my front left tire yesterday too. Turns out the dipshits at discount tire only decided to torque 2 out of 5 lugnuts down and left the rest finger tight. If it wasn't for the center cap they would have fallen off along with the whole wheel itself. Their stupidity never ceases to amaze me.

Re-packing your wheel bearings is definitely a one job. Hope that's all it is.

Its BAD, I drove it home yesterday and there is no way im taking it camping.
