this being my first post on the ih8mud forum, is more to say hi and what a great site this is...the info I have sourced just on 15mins of browsing is unreal. Its also good to see what you guys are doing to the mighty 60's overseas.

Anyways...I have a HJ60 (83 model), 2" suspension lift, 2" body lift and are currently running 35" Wrangler MTR's. The 2H pushes these well enough for now, but a turbo is in the pipeline (3/4 way there with the $$$ factor).

End of March its getting chopped down to a big king cab...the chop line is just at the start of the rear wheel arch. Then I can seriously play with the rear suspension.

Anyways, heres a pic or two. Hope you all enjoy.

Look forward to learning more as time goes by.

Nice rig mate, and welcome aboard!!!

welcome

that sure is a pretty rig to be chopping, I don't think I could do it.

if you do go through with it, save those rear slider windows. I bet somebody would buy those from you.

First dibs on the sliders!!

I'd have to agree about the chopping but, depending on your skills it may look even better when you are done!! Good luck!!

Just a reminder... its all about pics!!! Keep'm coming when throughout the process!

Very nice looking rig

Pretty cool bumper....custom?

Your going to chop it????? That thing is sweet man, don't butcher it

Where are you located? Beautiful truck. I got shot down also when I threatened to cut mine. This what I wanted to do.

Welcome Loomis, you want to bob it? Then bob it! I think it'd look great and you'd have what you want. Don't let the naysayers influence your decision.;)

thanks for the compliments guys....That pic was taken when it WASNT covered in mud. Cant really remember when I last washed it.

Anyways, the rear sliding windows maybe being used in the chop. But might just plate the small area that is going to be left behind the front windows (all depends on the visibilty factor). As for the non tinting question...I dont know...thats how they came.

The front bar is a custom job...made by a boilermaker mate of mine...he does heaps of custom barwork and truck chops. He really has a smart head on his shoulders.

And as for the "dont chop it" thing...You all have no chance of talking me out of it...I have been talking my wife around for months now...and as soon as she agreed...the date was picked! So no way I am backing out now.

And of course I will post pics. Should look sweet!!!

Dont listen to these Sallys, chop it.

Actually I dont care one way or the other, its your truck, and it does look nice by the way.

Welcome

Hodag

If the rear sliding windows don't end up on the chop, are you interested in selling them? First dibs if so.
